Cox Internet / Cable Signal?

mdf4christ asked:

Cox Internet / Cable Signal

I have heard and I quickly need to confirm or deny this. If I order Cox cable internet / can I split this signal and use it to get basic cable. I don’t need cable I just want to watch basic channels with this converter box fiasco. I just need to know from someone who just has Cox internet.

Any help?

Is NBA TV now available for DIRECTV Choice viewers and no longer part of the Sports Pack?

John K. asked:

Up until now, when I go to Ch. 601 (NBA TV) on occasions, it would always say on my screen “channel not purchased.”

It came as a BIG surprise to me today (11/1/07) when I channel-surfed and discovered that I got the NBA TV channel AVAILABLE to view!

I have the Choice package and I didn’t read any news that NBA TV is now available for subscribers like me. Nor did I even found any promos that this is just a “free preview” that would entice me to buy NBA TV or the Sports Pack.

I know I never upgraded my subscription and understand that DirecTV does add and remove channels on me without notice.

I already checked through DirecTV’s website and found no news. Their Channel lineup says NBA TV is still in the pay-for-Sports Pack section.

Any one know whats the explanation here? Is this too good to be true? Is NBA TV now a widely available basic cable/satellite channel and not a premium channel anymore?

Bad picture on some Cox standard basic cable channels?

:D Hey asked:

I live in the Tulsa, OK area and recently had to return to standard basic from full digital with Cox. After working with the T.V. a bit I managed to pick up all of the standard channels, but after looking closely at each channel it seems the quality on non-local channels is… well, bad–like antenna T.V. looks during a stormy day.

Is this just what I’ll have to live with or is there anything I could try? Feel free to ask for more information.
