Well right now we have Dish Network and we bought a new Sony Bravia tv. And the quality isn’t that good. So we were told to buy Hd box. Well we don’t qualify for a new hd box. So we have to buy it for 200. But we could also switch to directv and they offer a free HdDVR and free showtime for three months. Which is better? Which has more Hd Channels? help please.

I looked into it more, and am considering TW’s all the best-it says it has a price lock. it seems to be about $130 a month with all the rentals of equipment. Value is very important, and we don’t have any HDTV’s in the house yet.

I’m a Time Warner Cable customer in Cincinnati. TW drastically increased their rates. I have 1 tv in my house and its an HDTV. I use TW for my internet with Roadrunner.
Here is a break down of what I’m paying for a month with TW

Digital Cable + High Speed Data – includes basic tier, standard tier, value tier, music choice & Roadrunner -$98.33
Variety Tier-$5.95
Hi-Def DVR Converter box -$7.64
DVR Function -$9.95
Hi-Def Tier- $6.95

Those with Dish Network what do you pay per month and what channel package do you have? I don’t have any premium movie channels etc. Also, do you have to have a home phone line for Dish? What do you do if you don’t have a home phone? If possible be as descriptive as possible for me so i can weigh my options.
